The desk

USFansKaKobuy Review Desk is a small editorial team based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, founded in 2021. We cover shopping-agent and parcel-forwarding services: the platforms overseas buyers use to order from Chinese storefronts, have goods inspected in a warehouse, consolidate parcels and ship them abroad.

We are a publisher. We are not a marketplace, a warehouse, a courier or a customs broker. Our work is slow and repetitive by design: we place real orders, pay real fees, watch the tracking, receive the boxes at our Rotterdam test room, and write down what happened with timestamps, scale readings and photos.

How the desk started

Nate Brooks spent nine years on the operations floor of a Rotterdam freight forwarder, reconciling consolidation weights and chasing surcharges buried in footnotes. He kept a private spreadsheet of agent fee changes and QC photo quality, and in 2021 he turned it into this desk after readers kept asking the same question: does the photo in the warehouse match the thing that arrives?

Priya Raghunathan joined from a retail quality-control lab in Amsterdam, where she inspected footwear and apparel for a mid-size importer. Tomas Lindqvist joined from a Scandinavian parcel broker, where he built lane-timing dashboards. The three of us still run every test ourselves.

What we publish

• Agent reviews with fee tables, response timings and consolidation weight checks.
• Hands-on product tests with fit notes, stitch and material inspection, and 14-day wear results.
• Shipping-lane timings averaged over 12 weeks, with outliers left visible.
• A rate-card archive that keeps old fee schedules for comparison.

Editorial standards

We buy what we test. Fee tables come from our own invoices. Scores use a five-point scale and are explained line by line. Corrections are dated and appended, not quietly deleted. Our full editorial policy, review methodology and corrections policy are published on this site.
