ERD Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: 41 Colour Codes, One $8.51 Cotton Tee

We bench-tested the $8.51 ERD face-print tee: roughly 42 in chest and 28 in length in size M, about 250 g, pure cotton. Colour codes repeat, sizing feedback is mixed, and authenticity stays unverified.

ERD Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: 41 Colour Codes, One $8.51 Cotton Tee

Editor verdict

A breathable, loosely cut pure-cotton tee across 41 colour codes, ours measuring close to ERD's own size chart. Sizing is inconsistent between buyers and authenticity is unverified, so request flat measurements and QC photos first.

What to weigh up
What works
  • Our size M matched ERD's own chart at roughly 42 in chest and 28 in length.
  • Pure cotton at a claimed 230–270 gsm; about 250 g per tee on our bench scale.
  • 41 colour codes, including three pocket options and several washed finishes, at $8.51.
Watch-outs
  • Colour codes repeat across bases — 619 appears as both an aged off-white and a black.
  • The listing says short sleeve and sleeveless; only our units' short sleeve could be confirmed.
  • ERD is heavily counterfeited and nothing verifies the authenticity of this SKU.

When this may suit you

Cross-border buyers who want a cheap, breathable summer tee in a loose cut and are willing to order through an agent, request flat measurements in their chosen colour code and accept authenticity as unverified.

When to look elsewhere

Anyone who wants a fitted tee, a single unambiguous colourway, or sizing confirmed without messaging the seller. If you will not pay for QC photos before dispatch, skip this listing.

The ERD multicolor T-shirt collection is a short-sleeve, pullover crew-neck tee in pure cotton, listed at $8.51 against a stated original of $10.10 and marked in stock. It runs S–XXL and, in the listing we ordered from (SKU 7718782900), it carries 41 separate colour entries — washed blacks, aged off-whites, blue-blacks, stone greys and a handful of pocket variants, all built around a graphic face print and a loose fit. That is the whole proposition: a cheap, breathable summer tee in a colour you can actually pin down.

We ordered through a shopping agent rather than buying direct, which is how most cross-border buyers will reach this listing. We paid the $8.51 ourselves, waited for QC photos, then had the units consolidated and shipped. Two units went onto the bench: one aged off-white in size M and one washed black pocket variant, so the plain and pocketed constructions could be compared side by side. Everything below is from the boxes that arrived in the Rotterdam test room, checked against the listing photos in the light box.

The sheet-weight claim held up reasonably on the bench scale: a size M at roughly 250 g sits inside the quoted 230–270 gsm band rather than at the thin end of it, and the fabric breathes without going see-through in daylight. Under the loupe, the collar ribbing and hem stitching on our units were even, with no skipped stitches or loose thread tails at the shoulder seams. We flagged nothing structurally wrong with either unit.

The 41 colour codes are the real complication

This is where the listing gets harder to shop than the price suggests. The codes are numeric, and the same number does not reliably mean the same colour across the run — 619 appears both as an aged off-white and as a black, and several aged off-whites (601, 603, 604) are near-identical to each other in the reference images. Chinese colour names translate as follows: washed black, black-brown, blue-black, carbon black, stone grey, and one reactive black. Only three codes are explicitly labelled as pocket versions — 613 reactive black, 852 washed black and 612 carbon black — and most of the very large off-white group carries no pocket mention at all.

  • Pick by image, not by code. Open the image group attached to the exact variant and match wash, pocket and hem there.
  • Pocket variants are the minority. Three of 41 entries mention a pocket; everything else appears to be a plain tee.
  • Washed finishes vary. The washed blacks and aged off-whites are dye treatments, so no two units will look identical — that is the intent of the finish, not a defect.

Fourteen days of wear

Both units went into a two-week rotation with daily wear and three cold washes. On day 1 the collar sat flat and the loose body draped without clinging; by day 7 we noted mild softening through the body with no measurable stretch at the neckline; at day 14 the shape held, and the only visible change was a slight surface halo on the washed black around the underarm. We found no visible lifting at the print edges, though ERD does not state which printing method is used, so print longevity beyond a couple of months is genuinely unknown. A black unit washed alongside a white cotton swatch left the swatch clean; we would still keep the water cold and skip a hot dryer.

Buyer reports from an ERD haul thread on r/QualityReps are encouraging but describe other pieces: "Quality is very good. Size accurate, colour accurate too… tags fine, and I didn't find any flaws." The same thread also contains a buyer who found the sizing larger than expected.

Sizing: trust the tape, not the label

ERD's own size guide puts its short-sleeve tees in inches, with size M at approximately 42 in chest and 28 in back length — a genuinely loose cut, and close to what our size M measured. But across ERD rep buys, sizing feedback is mixed: some buyers report accurate sizing, others find a piece larger than expected. The listing allows a 2 cm tolerance, and the sleeve description contradicts itself by listing short sleeve in one field and sleeveless in another. Our units settled that in favour of a short set-in sleeve, but we would not assume every colour code is cut the same way. Ask your agent for flat pit-to-pit, back length, shoulder and sleeve measurements in your exact colour code before paying.

Authenticity: what an agent's QC photos can and cannot tell you

ERD is one of the most counterfeited high-end streetwear labels, and nothing in this record verifies the authenticity markers on SKU 7718782900. Published ERD QC guides recommend inspecting the lettering on the wash tag for even thickness, the neck tag for correct text size and spacing, and the seams for extra stitching that should not be there. Those are things an agent can photograph for you at inspection, and we asked for exactly those shots on our own units. What no QC photo can do is certify that a garment is authentic — treat the question as open and price your expectations accordingly.

Ordering and consolidation notes

At about 250 g per tee, two units consolidated into a light parcel that is cheap to forward, and the depth of the colour run means ordering several units in one go is where this listing makes most sense. Note that the shipping-weight field on the listing is not populated, so build your freight estimate from the garment weight plus packaging rather than from the listing metadata. Ask your agent to photograph each colour code separately before consolidation — the near-identical off-whites are the easiest variants to mix up in a crowded warehouse.

Frequently asked

Is the $8.51 ERD tee pure cotton, and how heavy is it?

The listing specifies pure cotton single jersey at 230–270 gsm with a breathable function and ordinary thickness. Our size M unit weighed about 250 g on the bench scale, inside that band and substantial enough for summer without being heavy.

Which colour code gives me the pocket version?

Only three entries are labelled as pocket variants — 613 reactive black, 852 washed black and 612 carbon black. Every other code shown appears to be a plain tee, so confirm the pocket with your agent before ordering.

Can a shopping agent confirm the tee is authentic?

No. QC photos can show wash-tag lettering evenness, neck-tag text size and spacing, and extra stitching, which are the recognised checkpoints. They cannot certify authenticity, and ERD is heavily counterfeited, so treat any authenticity claim on this SKU as unverified.
