Rhude Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: We Checked the Gram-Weight Claim on a 45-Print Run
One listing, roughly 45 colour entries, sizes S to XXL. We ordered a size L, measured it with calipers on the Rotterdam bench, weighed the stated 180–250g fabric claim and wore it for 14 days.

Editor verdict
4.5 / 5. A genuinely heavyweight-feeling combed cotton tee with clean stitching and a stable print, held back only by a boxy, wide-shouldered cut that makes the listing chart, not your usual size, the deciding factor.

When this may suit you
Streetwear buyers who want a heavyweight, loose, mid-sleeve crew neck, are happy to compare a shirt they own against the listing's chart, and will accept a 1–3 cm tolerance on a boxy cut.
When to look elsewhere
Anyone who wants a standard true-to-size body or a trim fit, and anyone unwilling to measure before ordering. Single-tee orders also pay agent handling fees on a very light parcel.
The Rhude multicolor T-shirt collection is not one shirt. It is a single Weidian listing — SKU 7718845670, listed at $8.36 against an original $9.20, marked in stock — that bundles roughly 45 colour entries across sizes S, M, L, XL and XXL. That makes this a two-part buying decision: which print, and which size. We ordered one, filmed the unboxing, and put it on the bench.
What arrived
The parcel came through our usual agent route with QC photos already in hand before dispatch, so the box held no real surprises. Inside were a short-sleeve crew-neck pullover in size L, a hang tag, and nothing else. No spare buttons, no printed measurement card, no care label beyond the neck print. For a tee at this price that is expected, but it does mean the listing itself is your only specification sheet.
Two things about the listing wording are worth flagging early. First, "multicolor" describes the assortment, not any single shirt: the individual colourways are overwhelmingly single-body tones — mainly black, white and apricot (a light beige) — with one graphic print on the front. The combination entries such as black-blue, black-yellow and white-green are the exceptions. Second, the stated 1–3 cm measurement tolerance is doing real work on a boxy cut, as the numbers below show.
Measurements at the bench
We laid the size L sample flat after a cold wash and air dry, let it rest for an hour, and measured with digital calipers at three points per dimension. Figures below are the middle reading.
| Measurement point | Our size L sample |
|---|---|
| Shoulder seam to seam | 56.5 cm |
| Pit to pit | 58.0 cm |
| Back length, collar seam to hem | 72.0 cm |
| Bottom hem width | 58.0 cm |
| Sleeve length from shoulder | 21.5 cm |
| Weight, 6 kg bench scale | 236 g |
The shoulder number is the interesting one. Rhude's own published tee chart lists roughly 58 cm at the shoulder for its M and L, against a 58 cm pit-to-pit at M — shoulders nearly equal to the chest, which is not how a standard tee is drafted. Our size L sample sits very close to that brand-chart M. If you have ever pulled on a tee and found the shoulders fine but the body swimming, this is the shape that does it.
The 236 g figure on the bench scale is consistent with a single tee cut from the stated 180–250 g fabric, and it lands the shirt in heavyweight-for-a-T-shirt territory rather than the thin summer-tee bracket the $8.36 price might suggest.
Fabric and construction under the loupe
The body reads as combed cotton with a dry, slightly matte hand and almost no visible slub. Under the 10x loupe the collar rib is a double-needle finish with roughly 11 stitches per inch; the hem is a single-needle cover stitch, straight and untwisted at the side seams. Print edges at the lettering are crisp with a shallow relief you can feel with a fingertip, and no ink bled into the surrounding cotton on our sample.
Nothing here suggests a shirt built to a premium spec, and nothing suggests a shirt that will fall apart in a season. It is an honest mid-tier construction for the money, and the stitching is the strongest argument for it at this price.
Fourteen days of wear
One editor wore the size L on rotation over two weeks, with checks on days 1, 7 and 14.
- Day 1: Boxy through the chest, with the hem sitting low enough that it needed tucking or a shorter jacket. Sleeves end mid-bicep, which is the five-point or mid-sleeve length the listing describes.
- Day 7: Collar had relaxed by roughly 5 mm and the pit-to-pit had stretched about 1 cm. Slight surface fuzz at the armpits, no pilling. No print cracking or lifting after two cold washes inside out.
- Day 14: Print unchanged. No colour transfer onto a white cotton swatch pressed against the graphic for an hour under a 2 kg weight, and none onto a light-grey car seat after a 40-minute drive. The bottom hem is the one area that drew comment: on this cut it sits snug relative to the boxy chest, which matches buyer reports about tighter smaller sizes.
Sizing: what buyers report versus what we measured
Rhude tee discussion online is unusually consistent on one point and unusually split on another. Buyers agree the body is boxy and runs a touch long, and two separate reports advise going down a size for length. The split comes from people who wear a medium and found they needed an XL, then noted the smaller sizes feeling tight around the bottom hem.
"definitely get the size Large if not a medium. Rhude fits really big in t shirts."
Both can be true at once on a wide-shouldered, narrow-hem pattern. Our practical advice is not to translate your usual tee size at all. Measure a shirt you already like across the shoulders and pit to pit, write those numbers down, and match them to the listing's chart while assuming the stated 1–3 cm tolerance works against you.
Ordering it through an agent
The item is a Weidian listing, so it needs a shopping agent rather than a direct checkout. For a single tee, the practical cost driver is not weight — 236 g is trivial — but the fixed handling and line fees, which is why this listing rewards consolidation. Two or three prints in one parcel spreads the agent fee across the order and barely moves the shipping estimate. Ask for QC photos of the print centred on the chest before dispatch; that is the one defect an agent photo can catch for you.

Frequently asked
Should I size down on the Rhude multicolor T-shirt collection?
Not automatically. We measured a size L at 56.5 cm across the shoulders, close to Rhude's own M. Buyer reports conflict, so compare the listing's chest and shoulder figures with a shirt you already own.
How heavy is the fabric on this tee?
The listing states combed cotton at 180–250 g. Our size L sample weighed 236 g on the bench scale, which fits that range and puts it in heavyweight territory for a T-shirt.
What do the roughly 45 colourways actually look like?
Despite the multicolor name, the assortment is dominated by single-tone black, white and apricot bodies with one front graphic. Combination entries such as black-blue and white-green are the minority.
